Debra Layne is originally from Oklahoma and moved to Colorado in 1977. She married a classmate and physical therapist, Ted Layne. She has two sons, Todd and Scott. Ms. Layne, PT enjoys flying as a private pilot, as well as skiing, hiking, reading and travel. She has been practicing physical therapy in Boulder since 1977. She is a member of Rotary and has served on the Board of Directors for Impact on Education.
Medical Training and Specialty: She received her degree from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in Physical Therapy in 1975. In 1992 she was acknowledged as the PHYSICAL THERAPIST OF THE YEAR by the Colorado Physical Therapy Association. Ms. Layne, PT is specialized in orthopedic physical therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, sports physical therapy, work injury rehabilitation, vestibular (balance and dizziness) rehabilitation, TMJ treatment, treatment of headaches, peripheral neuropathy treatment, and orthotics for the feet. She has attended well over 175 post-graduate courses in physical therapy and has lectured and taught courses for other physical therapists. She is a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor.
Professional Affiliations: Ms. Layne is a past-President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is currently President of Colorado Physical Therapy Network. Ms. Layne is the Managing Member and Owner of North Boulder Physical Therapy providing therapeutic services at two locations: 3000 Center Green Drive, Suite 110 and at 2750 Broadway in the Boulder Medical Center. With her husband, Ted Layne, PT, she owns Layne Physical Therapy in Golden, CO.

Ted Layne, PT, ATC

Ted is both a physical therapist and an athletic trainer. He started his ATC career at West Texas University (1976-1977). He then became the Head Athletic Trainer for the University of Colorado (1977-1983). Ted founded Flatirons Physical Therapy (1983-1997) and then started DIA Physical Therapy (1997 to present). Ted and Debra Layne are the owners of Layne Physical Therapy in Golden, CO (2000-present).
Ted has served as a trainer for CU, the Olympics, Pro Rodeo, and numerous other groups. He enjoys working with child athletes and has coached baseball and basketball teams.
He evaluates and treats a variety of orthopedic and sports patients at North Boulder Physical Therapy three days a week (2002-present). He specializes in PT for the knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, ankle, neck, back, and post-operative care. Total joint replacement rehabilitation is a special interest. Anodyne Therapy for orthopedic conditions is another new area of expertise for him. Ted evaluates and treats athletes at the University of Colorado Athletic Department on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Zach received his undergraduate and graduate education from Ithaca College in upstate New York where he also played NCAA Division III soccer. He received his doctorate in physical therapy in 2009 and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Zach furthered his education with a sports medicine residency in Vail, CO in 2010. He is currently a board certified physical therapist that specializes in sports and orthopedic care for patients of all ages, levels, and disciplines. Zach has been practicing physical therapy in Westminster, CO since 2011 and a clinic director since 2012.
Zach employs a very goal-oriented approach to his patients. He prides himself on his ability to help others help themselves. His assessment and treatment techniques include a model of regional interdependence called Selective Functional Movement Assessment, a variety of manual therapy techniques like soft tissue and joint mobilization, trigger point dry needling, corrective exercise, and most importantly, education!
Zach is native to Colorado, growing up in Boulder County. He is the older brother of quintuplet siblings and his father is a former professional soccer player. He currently lives in Denver with his wonderful wife, Lauren, who is also a physical therapist. In his free time, he and Lauren can be found skiing, mountain biking, camping, hiking, playing lawn games at the park, going to church, traveling, or just hanging at home watching soccer.
Zachary Chandler, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS
Mariah graduated from the University of Montana Missoula in 2011. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver in 2016. Mariah has a strong passion for orthopedic rehabilitation and continues to increase her knowledge and skills in manual therapy/ orthopedics through continuing education.
Mariah utilizes a patient-centered approach to care. She is passionate about understanding the biopsychosocial factors that impact each person’s wellness. She employs a combination of manual therapy and exercise to help patient reach their individual goals. She enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions and helping her patients get back to the activities that they love.
Mariah lives in Denver, Colorado. Prior to being a PT, Mariah was a canoe guide and a plant botanist, and she still tries to get outside as often as possible. She spends most of her weekends and free time in the mountains. She enjoys hiking, camping, backpacking, and snowboarding. She also has a new puppy at home who always keeps her on her toes!
